Core Values of the Calgary Chiropractic Society

  1. We recognize and respect a universal intelligence (or order) in all matter and an innate intelligence within a living organism that strives to preserve life and, if uninhibited, will express optimal well being.
  2. We recognize that the practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.
  3. We recognize that subluxations (VSC) compromise the expression of innate (in born) intelligence, and that prevention and removal of subluxations will facilitate the expression of optimal health.
  4. We respect, care about and are committed to the individual’s holistic well being and emphasize the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs and surgery.
  5. We respect and value the importance of intellectual honesty, scientific and academic excellence and the maintenance of integrity in serving the individual, the community and the profession.
